Disclosure. Prestanda Consulting publishes this guide and appears in it. No firm paid for inclusion or placement, and the list is not ranked. We have said where we are the wrong choice, because a guide that recommends its publisher for everything is not a guide.
What changed in March 2026
Salesforce consolidated its partner programme. The four tiers most buyers still recognise — Base, Ridge, Crest and Summit — became two: Select Partner and Summit Partner. Roughly 170 legacy badges were replaced by a smaller set of core competencies, measured on certifications, delivered projects and customer satisfaction scores.
Summit is the higher tier and is held by a minority of partners globally. The rollout continues through FY27, which means you will see both labelling systems in circulation. Two proposals showing different tier structures is the transition, not sloppiness from either firm.
What this does tell you: if a firm still markets itself as a Gold or Platinum Salesforce partner, those were never official designations. If it leads with Crest, it has not updated its positioning since March. Neither is disqualifying. Both are a signal about how closely a firm tracks the ecosystem it sells into.
What tier actually tells you — and what it does not
Tier measures scale, certification volume and a sustained delivery record. Those are real things and worth knowing.
Tier does not tell you whether a firm has worked in your industry, at your company size, on the clouds you are deploying, or with the legacy systems you need integrated. It does not tell you who will actually staff your project. A Summit partner with no experience in your sector is a worse choice than a Select partner who has delivered your exact scenario four times.
Use tier to filter. Do not use it to rank.
How we selected these firms
- Verifiable Salesforce practice. Listed on AppExchange with a public project and review record, not a services page asserting capability.
- US delivery, not just US sales. Firms serving American clients with people accountable in American time zones.
- Distinct positioning. Each entry is here because it is a better answer than the others for some specific situation. Firms that only differed by marketing copy were left out.
- No pay-for-placement. Nobody was asked for money and nobody offered any.
The list is grouped by the kind of engagement each firm suits. It is not ordered by quality, because quality is situational and any ranking claiming otherwise is inventing precision it does not have.
Global system integrators
Choose from this group when the programme spans regions, involves several clouds, and has to integrate with core systems that predate the internet.
Accenture
The largest Salesforce practice in the world, with certified headcount and completed-project volume no other firm matches. Strongest where Salesforce has to be wired into data platforms, legacy core systems and AI infrastructure across multiple countries.
Deloitte Digital
Strategy-led delivery with deep industry practices. Tends to lead with operating-model and process work, with the platform build following the strategy rather than driving it.
IBM
Built its Salesforce practice on the 2016 acquisition of Bluewolf, one of the earliest large Salesforce consultancies. That platform-native depth sits alongside security engineering and integration patterns for core banking and policy administration.
Cognizant
A US-headquartered Summit partner that grew its Salesforce capability substantially through acquisition. Blends onshore consulting with large offshore delivery capacity, with particular strength in banking and insurance.
Capgemini
A long-standing Salesforce global strategic partner, known for Commerce Cloud work, API-led integration and multi-region delivery.
Infosys
One of a small group of firms that together account for a substantial share of all Salesforce-certified professionals worldwide. Scale delivery with a strong managed-services motion.
National consultancies and large specialists
The middle of the market, and where most US enterprise Salesforce work is actually delivered.
Slalom
A US consultancy known for strategy-led CRM programmes, industry depth and unusually strong change management — the part of a Salesforce rollout that most often decides whether anyone actually uses it.
NeuraFlash
Concentrated on AI and Agentforce alongside Service Cloud, rather than spreading across the full product surface. Among the more visible specialists as Salesforce pushed AI to the centre of its roadmap.
Coastal Cloud
A US-based partner with notable public sector and nonprofit work, and a delivery model built around named senior consultants rather than pyramid staffing.
VRP Consulting
Founded in 1998 and a Summit partner, with consulting, implementation and managed services under one roof for organisations wanting ongoing platform ownership rather than a hand-off at go-live.
Focused specialists
Narrower firms that go deeper in one vertical or one layer of the stack.
Ascendix Technologies
A Dallas-based firm with unusual depth in real estate CRM, having built and maintained its own Salesforce products in that vertical alongside its services practice.
Cloud for Good
Focused on the nonprofit and education sectors, with practice knowledge of fundraising, constituent management and the reporting those organisations answer to.
Prestanda Consulting
We publish this guide. We are an AI-first technology consultancy delivering Salesforce implementation, integration and data migration for US enterprise clients, assessed at CMMI Level 3 and certified to ISO 27001:2022. Our depth is in the data layer — migration, integration and the engineering that keeps a CRM trustworthy after go-live.
The questions that separate partners
Every firm on this list will tell you they are experienced, certified and client-focused. These questions produce answers that actually differ.
- Who is on my team, by name, and what else are they staffed on? The people in the pitch are frequently not the people who deliver.
- Show me a migration that went badly and what you changed afterwards. A firm that cannot answer this has either not done enough work or is not being straight with you.
- What happens in week three after go-live? Implementations are judged on the fortnight after launch, not launch day.
- What are you not going to do? Scope clarity at proposal stage predicts scope discipline at delivery.
- How do you handle our data quality problem? Every organisation has one. Watch whether they assess it or assume it away.
- What does your estimate assume? A number without stated assumptions is not an estimate, it is a hope.
Verify before you shortlist
Check any partner on the Salesforce AppExchange consulting listing directly. It carries current tier, certifications, completed project counts and customer ratings, and it is maintained by Salesforce rather than by the firm selling to you. Where this guide and AppExchange disagree, AppExchange is right and we will correct it.
Frequently asked questions
How many Salesforce partner tiers are there in 2026?
Two — Select Partner and Summit Partner. The previous four-tier structure was retired in March 2026, with the change rolling out through FY27.
Are Gold and Platinum still Salesforce partner tiers?
No. Those labels predate the current programme and were never official designations.
Does a higher partner tier mean a better implementation?
Not necessarily. Tier reflects scale and sustained delivery record, not fit for your industry, size or clouds.
How much does a Salesforce implementation cost in the USA?
Scope drives the number and published ranges vary enormously. Any firm quoting from a one-line brief is guessing. We wrote about what actually moves the figure.
How do I verify a partner’s current status?
Check the Salesforce AppExchange consulting partner listing, which Salesforce maintains rather than the partner.
